Just hearing the name Miss International brings a different kind of excitement. Ever since I’ve been following pageants, I get to see something new at the event every year. But Miss International 2025 seems even more special to me—and there are quite personal reasons behind it. For the past few years, I’ve been closely following the pageant world’s updates, behind-the-scenes videos, and contestants’ journey vlogs. The buzz this time around has made me even more curious.
In this blog, I’m sharing the inside story, gleaned from my personal experience, research, and discussions within the pageant community. If you’re a fan of Miss International, I think you’ll find these details as exciting as I did.
1. Tokyo Stage 2025: A Modern + Traditional Mix

Every year the Miss International stage is very classy, but the 2025 stage design is giving off a completely different vibe. I personally love the charm of Japanese culture, and when I found out that this time the stage would be a fusion of “Modern Tokyo” and “Historic Japan,” I was literally excited.
This time, LED floors, moving panels, and holographic effects will be used – but the backdrop will also feature traditional Japanese art forms like sakura patterns , washi textures , and golden wave motifs .
I think this combination will give the contestants’ walks an even more royal feel.
2. National Costume Segment will get a new twist

National Costume is the dreamiest segment of Miss International. I personally love it the most because it feels like a festival. But this year, the organizers have added a new concept—
“Storytelling Walk”
This means that contestants will not only show off their costumes, but will also get a short moment in which they will be able to express the purpose, culture and story of their costumes.
I found this very touching. Sometimes we’re impressed just by the costume, but we miss the story behind it. Now, that story will come alive on stage.
3. The Personal Introduction Round is going to be more natural.

A lot of viewers, including me, feel that scripted introductions can sometimes seem a bit formal. This time, organizers have encouraged contestants to present their introductions in a natural, conversational, and “real” way. When I watched interviews of some contestants, they told me that this year the emphasis is on authenticity – not on rehearsed lines. Personally, I feel that this change will connect the audience more with the contestants.
4. Music & Lighting: A Cinematic Experience

If you’ve watched Miss International 2024 or 2023, you’ll know that their lighting design and soundtrack were often quite subtle. But this time, the music is being given a dynamic and more emotional tone. The stage’s lighting cues will also change according to the contestants’ walks – such as soft pastels during evening gowns and deep spotlights during the finale Q&A. As someone who loves stage productions, I found this lighting upgrade most exciting.
5. A Bigger Focus on Advocacy Stories

Pageants are not just about beauty, I realized this when I started closely following the contestants’ projects and advocacy work. Miss International 2025 is introducing a special feature segment:
“Her Mission” Documentary Clips
Short videos highlighting contestants’ community work, personal struggles and real-life impact. When I heard about this format, I felt that finally the real work of the contestants would come into the spotlight.
6. Eco-Friendly Stage & Sustainable Fashion Highlight
Today’s generation takes sustainability seriously – and honestly, I also really like it when global platforms promote this message.
In 2025 edition :
- Stage elements are made from recyclable materials
- Backstage me plastic-free zones honge
- Designers eco-friendly fabrics show karenge
I personally found this initiative heart-touching, because beauty + responsibility = perfect combo.
7.New Format of Finale Walk
Every year, the final walk is the most emotional moment. This time, there’s a twist—
“Legacy Walk”
The top five will walk the final walk carrying a symbolic element of their advocacy, such as a book motif for those promoting education, or a wave brooch for those championing ocean protection. The best thing about this idea is that even before the crown, the audience will feel which contestant’s mission is touching their hearts.
8. My Personal Thoughts
To be honest, Miss International 2025 looks like the most creative, emotional, and impactful edition yet. I’ve never seen as much excitement in the pageant community as I have. From my personal experience, I’ve learned that pageants are evolving—and this evolution is beautiful. Not just glamour, but stories, culture, emotions, and advocacy are also shining equally. Whatever special elements are being added this time, they are making Miss International not just a pageant but a “global celebration of womanhood”.
Conclusion
Miss International 2025 isn’t just an event—it’s going to be an experience. A new stage, improved segments, real storytelling, eco-friendly initiatives, and the contestants’ honest personalities… all of this will make this edition truly memorable. If you follow pageants, trust me—you’re in for a lot of surprises this year. And I personally won’t miss a single moment of this event!
